Having a great secondary travel bag is essential for all types of travelers. This is especially true when you are a true traveler that uses various modes of transportation. We have used planes, trains, buses, tuk-tuks, and yes even elephants to travel from point A to point B. For many years I used my Mountainsmith Tour TLS to hold my equipment needed, but as we progress more into our travel blog we needed something that will be able to carry my Nikon 3200 DLSR camera to document. We also need something that we can access quickly to be able to take those pictures on the run. Be Comfortable while traveling
As we travel more and more we see that people use a full-on backpack as a secondary travel bag. With a there main backpack on their back, their secondary bag is on the front. To some, this may look like they may be getting ready to ram someone or looks like a modified sumo wrestling gear. For me, this was not an option. For me, this looks like it is uncomfortable while traveling and will get in the way. This makes it tough to get on and off various transportation. Honestly, it just gets in the way.
I wanted something that will be comfortable while traveling and also I need to have quick access to my camera equipment. I also needed something that wouldn’t hurt my back while traveling. After doing some research in trying to find this perfect bag, I didn’t have to look too hard. I turned to my Mountainsmith Tour TLS and said, “I wish I could use this, but it’s not big enough.” I soon found out that Mountainsmith makes a modified version of the Tour TLS and its called Mountainsmith Tour FX.
On the go photography
After getting my Tour FX, I soon knew that this was the perfect bag for me and my style of travel. The pack is perfect and has everything I need for our on the go travels. The pack holds all my camera equipment perfectly and style makes getting into the pack extremely easy. I love the ability to be able to strap the pack around my waist to be able to take the pressure off my lower back.
With the main pack on my back, I am able to strap my Tour FX on the front with less stress on my back. The function of the pack makes it easy to access my camera and snap away while on the go. This function of the bag makes it easy to kneel and sit without it being in the way.
Pack Accessories and Function in your Travel Camer Bag
There are tons of loops on the pack where you can put a caribenner and attach more items tot he pack. We have used this function while shopping in various markets. Attaching shopping bags is no problem. Also, there are tightener straps on the bottom that is perfect for attaching hiking sticks or tripod. This is a great feature that we use a lot while traveling.
Another great function I love about this pack is that the pads inside can be adjustable to fit the lens, camera, and even my iPad. There is an extendable zipper that adjusts the size of the main compartment. With this, I am able to put my iPad in there. With all that extra padding for camera and equipment makes the durability of the pack and the equipment inside protected

Overall this pack is perfect for the photographer on the go. This pack is perfect for protecting your equipment while you move from different forms of transportation. I love this pack and all the functionality of the pack. This is a perfect pack for us and our travels and I look forward to adding many more miles on this pack for many years to come.
