The Best Men’s Pants to Travel the World…and Make Money!

All Packed up - Mountainsmith - Peanuts or Pretzels
Sometimes even a backpacker needs a nice pair of dress pants.

As we were preparing to embark on our around the world trip, we knew that traveling light would be the key. However, we were also planning to do some work along the way by teaching English.  So I needed to include some nicer clothes, even a pair of slacks.  This made packing our backpacks really difficult.  I hated the idea of giving up valuable backpack space for a pair of pants that I wouldn’t need right away, but I was told that these pants were special and that I had to bring them with us.

Months of Travel Without Working, Why Am I Hauling These Pants Around?

As planned, we traveled for several months before even thinking about working.  We explored Hawaii, Malaysia, New Zealand, and spent quite some time in Thailand.  Each time I unpacked and repacked my backpack, I couldn’t help but question why I was hauling these dress pants around.  They were taking up valuable space in my pack, and even though they were super light, every ounce of weight adds up when you are carrying it on your back.

Some of you are wondering why on Earth I would bring slacks with me instead of just purchasing them on the road when I needed them.  Well, that was exactly my thought.  But I was told that these were no ordinary slacks.

These Bluff Works pants are specially suited for travelers.  Beyond the lightweight material and functional hidden pockets, they were said to be very durable.  In fact, I was also told that they were durable enough to be washed by machine…and that they would never need to be ironed.  Ok now I will admit, I did not believe the last part.

But I couldn’t help but be intrigued to find out for myself just how these pants would hold up to my ultimate test.

How Would My Bluff Works Pants Look After Being Crammed in a Backpack for 3 Months?

Well, my question would finally get answered when were getting our TEFL certification to teach English abroad on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.  After several months of packing and unpacking my Bluff Works Slacks, I was finally going to get some use out of them. But the bigger question now would be “how did these pants hold up after being stuffed in a backpack for more than 3 months?!?!”

I could just imagine how awful it would be to show up to teach a class with horribly wrinkled pants.  My only comfort was hoping that other backpacker / teachers in my class would have the same issue.

Teaching English in Thailand – and those are some great looking pants!

When it was time for me to take my Bluff Works slacks out of my backpack, I was shocked.

“Liz, look at these pants!” I exclaimed, “Do you see any wrinkles?”

I could not believe my eyes.  It was truly amazing, because I didn’t need to go find an iron.  After being shoved in a backpack for 3 months, these Bluff Works slacks has absolutely zero wrinkles in them.

Bluff Works High Quality & Comfortable Dress Pants are PERFECT for Travelers!

The pants unfolded and looked pristine – as if they just came off of the rack at the store!  I put them on and still couldn’t believe how great they looked, and they were extremely comfortable. The material is incredible because it is light weight and breathable, which was important since we were teaching English in Thailand.

The pants are also quite durable, technically, I could go trekking in them.  Not that I would, but it gives me peace of mind because I don’t have to be worried…especially when I’m teaching kids!

Hidden Travel Pockets - Peanuts or Pretzels
Hidden zipper pockets in my Bluff Works pants are great for travelers!

In addition, the Bluff Works pants have a number of useful pockets for travelers.  These include special hidden zipper pockets, as well as specially designed cell phone pockets, which make me feel more confident that my personal items won’t be stolen as easily.

Another huge bonus was the fact that we would not have to get these dress pants dry-cleaned!  Dry-cleaning can be a huge expense, and a real challenge when you are traveling to rural destinations.  But we could just toss these pants into the machine and hang them to dry!  A HUGE bonus for a backpacker, or any traveler.

These Bluff Works pants were made with such quality, I couldn’t believe that they literally ticked every box that a traveler could possibly have.

  • Light weight
  • Compact when packing
  • Breathable (great in hot and humid climates)
  • Quality stitching & design
  • Lots of pockets, including hidden zipped pockets and special cell phone pockets
  • NO WRINKLES – seriously!
  • No need to dry clean…they can be washed in a regular washing machine or by hand!

Every Traveler Should Have a Pair of Bluff Works Pants!

Having these special Bluff Works pants with me as I travel the world has been a lifesaver.  At first, I was very skeptical of hauling them around with me, but they have been worth it in so many ways.  Now I can go anywhere in the world and get a job without having to worry about finding a solid pair of dress pants (which can be difficult in some parts of the world).  I also don’t have to worry about ironing or dry cleaning.  So really, my Bluff Works slacks have helped me save money and make money while we continue to travel around the world.

I can not speak more highly of the quality of these travel slacks as well as the comfort.  I am so glad that I did not purge them from my backpack before I needed them.  My Bluff Works Slacks have become a critically important item in my travel wardrobe because they are so versatile and useful.

So whether you are a business professional who travels frequently, or if you are a traveler (or backpacker) who occasionally need a nice pair of pants for work or even for a nice dinner, you MUST get a pair of these pants.  You will not regret it one bit!
